New Policies and Procedures
The new Bylaws that were approved at the last meeting are filed and will come into effect as soon as the Province accepts them in a couple of months. That means that the Policies and Procedures manual will have to be changed to bring it into line with the new Bylaws. This requires a Special Resolution at the next Club meeting on January 20th 2016. The manual is posted at https://static.narc.net/images/bylaws_2015/PandPOct7final.pdf.
New Bylaws Approved
At the November 18th, 2015 general meeting of the Northern Alberta Radio Club membership, the new bylaws (as described in the post about the proposed bylaws) were approved by the general membership.
For the past few decades, the Club has been run “top-down” with the Executive Board telling the membership what activities should be undertaken and directing the way in which the Club functions. In today’s world, this is an old-fashioned way of conducting business.
